Step 1: You Have a Purpose

Even though it might not always feel like it, you do have a purpose on this planet. There is a reason you’re alive. When you start feeling like all you’re doing is running on a hamster wheel and not getting anywhere you need to go inward and start looking at what it is you’d rather be spending your time on.

Sure, you need to take care of the everyday responsibilities. But you also need to make time for things that you find important. Those things that light a fire in your soul are what will help you to become more authentic.

They’ll help to give you the courage and confidence that you need to get out of your shell and be the person you were destined to be. Not that you aren’t who you’re meant to be. But you’ll be able to express yourself a whole lot better if you have hobbies that bring out your true self.

Step 2: Tell Your Story

Instead of hiding behind the normal responses of “yes I’m fine” you should try giving more honest and authentic answers when people ask you how you’re doing. You don’t have to tell every stranger that asks your whole life story, but being more truthful with the people you’re close to will help you to reveal your authentic self.

The more you can reveal those hidden parts of yourself the deeper your connection with those around you will become. That’s one of the plus points of being authentic. It helps you to build stronger bonds.

Why? Because your stories are what makes you who you are. They are what people fall in love with. And the more you tell your stories, especially those where you overcome obstacles, the more people will be inspired by you.

Step 3: Become Yourself

Now is the time to let go of all the ideas of who you think you’re supposed to be. That penny you found is a clear sign from your Angels that you’re already exactly the person you’re meant to be.

This is the biggest part of becoming more authentic. It’s learning to stop apologizing for everything. For example, if you’re late don’t say you’re sorry for being late, say “thank you for waiting” instead.

If you put down a boundary and someone says sorry for overstepping it don’t apologize for sticking to your boundaries, thank them for understanding. If you feel bad about something don’t say you’re sorry rather explain how you’ll try to improve.

A big part of becoming more like yourself is learning not to be sorry for who you are and what you do. And that’s the biggest lesson your Angels want you to learn today.
