For example, if you want to know whether it’s a good idea to ask that person out, don’t listen to your fluttering heart that says YES it’s a very good idea.

What are they like, do they have everything you want in a partner, are they the type of person that would commit to a relationship with you, or will they end up hurting you? It might be difficult but you need to be as unbiased and factual as possible while you set up your pros and cons lists. Once you have the list it’s time to have a good look at whether it’s a good idea to go for it or whether you should rather hold off.

Why do you have to be so practical and stuff right now? Well because the universe wants to remind you that you need to stay connected to the real world if you want to make real progress.
You might think that making spiritual progress is all about finding the deeper meaning in every single thing that happens to you, but in reality you will only find that deeper meaning if you stay connected to the real things that are happening around you every single day. You can’t expect to get meaning out of experiences that you aren’t fully conscious of.
That’s why the universe sent you the feather. To remind you that everything is connected and that you need to stay fully grounded if you want to understand those connections in the long run. Right now you need to focus on being practical and taking things for what they are so that in the future you can see the deeper meaning behind what you’re going through now.
