Prayer to lift this dark veil from me
We pray that the dark veil may be lifted from your eyes and that you see more clearly.
Let this prayer be my light, reaching out to you in the darkness.
Dear Lord,
Please help lift this dark veil from me. Guide me away from the dark horizon I see before me and help me learn that brighter days are possible.
Give me the strength to cope with everyday things that currently seem unmanageable and support me under your wings as I regain the notion of time and patience, especially when it comes to my healing.
May this heaviness be lifted, like a fog on a fine day, so that I can see clearly and work with my emotions, so they don't block my most sacred relationships.
Help me be encouraged to heal and fight this illness that has trapped me for too long, so that I may find fragments of the old me within present life.
Help me to smile again and mean it.
In your name, I pray to thee.
