Have you tried talking with your child? Sometimes it is hard for parents and children to express their feelings, but this can help mend the relationship.
Dear Lord,
I am thankful for the way you never give up on me, even when I am at my worst and most faithless.
Forgive me for the bad days where love feels lost, and allow me to feel the warmth that it brings on the good.
Heavenly God, may you help me mend my broken relationship with my child.
As you persist with your love, may I persist with mine and gain the trust and loyalty back that has recently disappeared.
May my child know that they are loved, cherished and care for.
Please forgive me for not practising your teachings through my own parental bond. As I try my best daily to keep us close, I realize my imperfections may have created ill feelings that I am keen to mend.
For today and always.
