Prayer for Freedom from Disturbance
We live in a noisy world, filled with constant distractions and disturbances. It's easy to get caught up in it all and lose sight of what truly matters. That's why it's important for us to take the time to pray for freedom from these disturbances.
Dear Lord,
You have blessed this Earth with many a beautiful thing. The paths we walk, the blossom in the trees, the birds singing. This is all nature's way of telling us we live as one.
Lately though, I have been distracted by less appealing things. Those of a bad feeling, or an uncertainty within. Even the force of technology pulls me away from what I should have my focus on.
As grateful as I am for these things in their format, I need to be able to send my attention to my priorities.
As you listen, you understand my problem and that is why I come to you for help.
Help me to recognize your presence in the moments that matter, so that I can apply my attention to them in the same way you do to me when I pray.
Amen.
