Prayer to Relieve Bitterness
We all have moments where we struggle with bitterness, whether it be toward a specific person or situation or just toward life in general. This negativity can consume us and prevent us from finding peace and joy. That's where prayer can come in.
Dear Lord,
Circumstances haven't gone the way I had hoped, and I am feeling the need to call upon you.
Your guidance is cathartic to me as sometimes I become too lost to be able to find happiness for other people.
I spend so much time wishing I had what others had, with little regard for the life I built for myself and for that, God, I ask you to forgive me.
I know you have supported me and encouraged me, and my gratitude has been lost somewhere along the way.
Relieve me of this bitterness.
See me over this bridge of insecurity that I refuse to admit I suffer with and show me how to be happy with the fruits of my own life, rather than focus on those of others.
Please release this inner tension and bring a state of peace.
