Prayer for them to receive the care they need
We often think of our grandparents as being invincible, but the truth is that they still need our love and care. Many struggles with physical ailments and chronic pain, while others may struggle with difficult emotions and a feeling of isolation. As we pray for our grandparents, let us remember to also ask for them to receive the care they need.
Dear Lord,
Please offer my grandparents their needs. Soften our hearts to them as you love them in both word and need.
Lord, move them toward action as they ask for what they have earned the right to in their elderly years.
Give them the care they may need and let them know that it's okay to ask for help and accept support.
Bless them with the knowledge and wisdom that although they may need a helping hand, it does not take away their character and resilience.
Offer them assistance in their daily lives so that they can remain comfortable. Show them the world's beauty even though they may not be able to enjoy it as they once did.
Heavenly God, may their paved roads allow me to follow in their footsteps as they teach me how to be humble and accepting of life and its changes.
May their roles as grandparents be forever valued and remembered for the generations that have followed and allow them peace and serenity.
