Prayer to Uplift my Sad Heart
Happiness is a beautiful thing that can bring so much joy to our lives. But sometimes, it can feel like happiness is out of reach and we get stuck in a place of sadness.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for being my God of all comfort and joy.
Please send your spirit to uplift my sad heart.
Shine the warming rays of your light onto my heart that currently feels cold.
Every day I wake feels like another dark blanket over me. I feel hopeless and encapsulated in my sadness and I pray that you find the strength to ease it.
My heart cries out to you and the only comfort I have is knowing you are there for me each day.
Lord, help me to pick up the sword of my spirit and use it to get through the day's challenges.
Strengthen me where I feel weak. Whisper words of confidence when I feel lost and pull back the wreckage of my life so that I can breathe again and not feel abandoned.
